Many people from across the world have contributed suggestions, images, and drawings for this graphic novel. As you may notice, many of the images submitted (a baboon, skull, mayan dog, stairs, skull gate, super mario, tank hole) are reflected in the illustrations (view here). One early photo that was uploaded by someone pictured a labyrinth built of human skulls. The working title of the story then became Bone Head Gate. At some level, the Bone Head Gate is a television screen, or a computer screen. The "other side" of the gate is both the unknown and the present. A parallel is developed between the gate of skulls and the world of images we enter when we watch corporate news and entertainment. There are images of explosions, scary things, oil company signs, bow hunting kids and more. It's both narrative by committee and collective creativity.
